Alexa seems to forward cheering mood to the users on its third anniversary in India by announcing an offer to listen to best selling audiobooks free of cost via Audible. The proposal launched today is going to last till 28 February.
The books you can listen to this month are: ‘How to Win Friends & Influence People’ by Dale Carnegie (narration by Shernaz Patel), ‘Great Stories for Children’ by Ruskin Bond (narration by Adnan Kapadia) and ‘Cracking the Code’ by Ayushmann Khurrana (narration by Manish Dongardive).
To access to the audible audiobooks you can extend commands to Alexa like ‘Alexa, tell me a story’ and ‘Alexa, open Audible Suno’. According to Amazon, the voice assistance device receives about 19,000 audio story requests per day, across Hindi and English. The feature will be activated on all devices having built-in Alexa.
Here's how you can access to the exciting feature of Amazon's Alexa
- You can simply command “Alexa, what’s free from Audible” on any Alexa-powered device, be it is Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Auto or even the FireStick.
- After this, the voice assistant will say the name of three free audiobooks that are mentioned above.
- Then, say the name of the book you wish to give ears to and the audiobook will start playing.
Earlier this week, we have learned that interactions with Amazon were recorded about 67 per cent in 2020. The top request made by the users to the device was ‘gana sunao‘ or ‘play a song.' Users also enjoyed in proposing Alexa by saying 'I love you’ to Alexa 19,000 times in a day.
