• New upcoming Surface PCs with AI technology revealed by Microsoft

Microsoft revealed a series of Surface PCs aimed at implementing AI capabilities into Windows, as integrated and built-in technologies. 

Microsoft’s Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella first unveiled these form-factor devices at a keynote in Redmond, Washington. These devices built on Qualcomm’s efficient Arm-based processors can support AI computations without compromising the battery life.

Smart Devices for Better Productivity

The recently launched Surface Laptop and Surface Pro tablet have come with integrated Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus chips. It allows the AI operations on these devices to be performed locally and not dependent on the internet connection, and in return offers users perfect AI features.

It comprises transcription to audio, suggestions to reply to the messages, suggestions to change the features in the settings app, and creating pictures from text or sketches.

Broader Industry Adoption

Apart from Microsoft’s Surface Computers other PC handset makers like Lenovo, Dell, HP, Asus, Acer, and Samsung also planning to roll out AI-integrated computers with Qualcomm chips. 

Most of these devices follow Microsoft’s Copilot+ guidelines and are said to yield longer battery life and incorporate the Copilot AI chatbot. Later releases of PCs with both AMD and Intel microprocessors built to this standard will also be made.
