It acts as a safeguarding agent against deepfakes and clones for better control of contents on the platform. The recent updates for creators to detect and manage AI-generated vocals, that mimic their voices have safeguarded the individuals. 

This feature will be referred to as the synthetic singing ID tool, a part of YouTube’s Content ID system. This will be collaborated with its other partners to plan the launch of a pilot program in early 2025. Additionally, YouTube as a secondary tool will also help athletes, actors, musicians, and other public faces to manage AI-generated videos to showcase their faces live to the audience.

Therefore, to support creators and prevent misuse, the platform has incorporated a safeguard design to block prompts that infringe on the policies or cover sensitive topics. YouTube also stated upon utilizing the creator's content with algorithms like auto dubbing. It is actively investigating systems to detect and prevent unauthorized scrapping of materials.

Consequently, YouTube’s new initiatives highlight the company’s commitment to balancing technological advancements with the protection of the rights of people. As these tools emerged, they aimed to mitigate the risks associated with AI-generated materials.
