Netflix Introduces New Feature to Share Your Favorite Scenes
Netflix has recently rolled out a new feature for its mobile application called “Moments” through which users can save and share movie scenes and TV shows. While Moments is currently only available on iOS, soon it will be possible to use it on Android also. This new feature will improve the experience of the users by allowing them to bookmark favorite posts more effectively and easily share them.
Highlights:
- Moments Feature lets users save specific scenes and rewatch or share them later.
- Mobile-Only Access, available on iOS now; Android release in the coming weeks.
- Directly share saved scenes to social media platforms from the app.
- Part of Netflix’s strategy is to engage users and promote content.
With "Moments," Netflix users can now save standout scenes they enjoy from shows or movies they’re watching on the mobile app. For instance, the audience can save any favorite scene from any series by clicking on the “Moments” button at the bottom of the screen. This saved scene will appear in the “My Netflix” page so that the viewers can easily go through it at their own will.
Sharing these saved scenes with friends and followers on social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp is equally straightforward. Users can choose to share a scene immediately or from their saved list in the "My Netflix" tab, giving them control over when and where they want to post.
This feature is consistent with Netflix’s continuous attempt to attract viewers; more so, when content clips related to Netflix shows are subject to sharing on the internet more frequently. Another promotional campaign is “It’s So Good,” which trying to popularize the “Moments” feature by presenting scenes and characters beloved by Netflix subscribers and making it possible for them to engage with the platform’s content in new ways.
From this, Netflix suggests that ‘Moments’ could grow with more functions in the future in order to improve the user experience and let the viewer fully immerse in their beloved content.
