Samsung is expected to release the new generation of its Galaxy S model in January next year with the model Galaxy S25 expected to hit the market. Samsung is expected to maintain its early-year approach and, based on reports, it may hold an event in mid-January 2025. This would make the S25 series among the first sets to be launched to market the year and compete with Apple and other Android flagships.

2. Powerful New Processor

The Galaxy S25 series is expected to come with Samsung’s next Exynos 2500 chip in some areas with other markets receiving Qualcomm’s snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Hopes are high for the level of performance from both chips notably in AI and efficiency.

3. Improved Camera Systems

Rumours indicate that Samsung is relying on the camera this time around. The S25 Ultra may also come with a 250-megapixel main camera, enhanced zoom and better low-light photography. AI improvements for image processing are also anticipated to be a significant factor.

4. Battery and Charging Upgrades

It is possible that the Galaxy S25 lineup would improve battery management and enable a charging capability as well. A few more serious rumours suggest that the Ultra model might be capable of 65W fast charging, at least as an increase from the current 45W limit on the S23 Ultra.

As for the price, they have not announced it yet but based on the previous models the S25 series should cost around $799 for the regular model and go over $1,200 for the Ultra. Availability is expected to roll out inevitably a few weeks after the launch, particularly in major markets.
