Acknowledging the anxieties around the low battery, Google is launching a new 'saver mode' that will enable you to proceed with your connection when your machine is running low on battery or you may be encountering connectivity problems.

The new saver mode will decrease data and energy consumption on Google Meet while you are on a call. The innovation is being rolled out slowly and you will shortly see it under the Settings menu. However, you have to turn on the saver mode as you are about to join a meeting. Note that you may observe a drop in the kind of video calls when you turn on this characteristic.

Google states that you can use the saver mode to reduce data, preserve battery and minimize the power required for the CPU To turn on the feature, follow these steps: 

1. Open the Meet App
2. Tap Menu
3. Go to Settings
4. Turn on Limit data usage
5. Join a Video Call.

Meanwhile, Google has proclaimed that it is increasing the purpose to offer Google Meet charges for up to 24 hours free till June 2021. The business had briefly prolonged the extensive Meet calls for independent users till March 31.
