ISRO Planning for Green Fuels Like Hydrogen Peroxide for Rockets
The Chief of the Indian Space Research Organisation(ISRO), K Sivan has notified that the Indian space spacecraft is set to go eco-friendly as the space agencies have continued working to replace its present hazardous and dangerous fuel with environment-friendly and non-hazardous combustibles for its spacecraft, rockets, and satellites.
ISRO Chief further informed that the space agency has been witnessing the developing propulsion by hydrogen peroxide in its missile that will take Indians into space below its difficult ‘Gaganyaan’ mission. He additionally included that since people will be inside the spacecraft, there should only be non-hazardous fuel to control the human space mission’s spacecraft.
ISRO’s strategy of promoting green fuel.
The space agency has likewise been seeming at the rocket motors that are powered by hydrogen peroxide as a bi-propellant or as a mono-propellant simultaneously including ethanol. It has additionally been promoting an added green fuel- LOX/Methane-where dissolved oxygen will serve as oxidizer and methane as fuel.
This propellent also has benefits in the duration of storability, particular impulse, price, and low toxicity.
While speaking about powering the spacecraft, ISRO Chief notified that the space agency has continued working towards lightweight electrical momentum in the extent of the synthetic fuel.
Currently, ISRO can place into orbit broadcasting spacecraft that weigh up to 4 tonnes with its missiles. Satellites over 4 tonnes are holding orbited practicing the Ariane spacecraft of Arianespace, a European Space Agency.
