Google WebView Update Fixes, Gmail & Chrome Crash Issue
Google has stabilized a problem with Android System called WebView that resulted in applications like Gmail, Google Chrome, & others crashing. As per the announcement, users commenced glimpsing these collisions afternoon & at the moment, Google proposed users transfer to the desktop customer for Gmail. The search giant realized the problem on its Google Workspace Status Dashboard & was annually enhancing it with follow-ups, till it was prepared to rebuild the problem around.
Some Google applications comprising Gmail & Google Chrome were getting issues for Android users due to a problem with Android System WebView – a procedure ingredient powered by Chrome that enables Android applications to display web capacity. According to an announcement, these applications create issues that commenced, & as per the Google Workspace Status Dashboard, the corporation asserted the problem.
“We're familiar with trouble with Gmail influencing a substantial subset of users. The unusual users are incapable to use Gmail. We will deliver updated labeling when we anticipate resolving the difficulty,” the upgrade from Google reads.
While the assistance was down, Samsung Support held twitter and tweeted that eliminating the modern update to WebView will rebuild the problem, along with walks for how to do so, which appeared to fix the problem for a few users.
