iOS 14.6 Update on iPhone leads to Drastic Battery Drainage
iPhone users are stating a drastic battery draining issue as soon as they updated their device to iOS 14.6. This update was issued late this previous month & includes Apple Card Family, Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, & AirTag relevant differences among additional items. The update observed to fix concerns with the startup exhibition of devices, but it appears to have produced obstacles of its own. One iPhone user declared that his handset battery went drained by a huge 70% overnight, while a different user stated that his phone's battery proceeded to drain even when he kept his handset on charge the whole night.
Users are moving out to the Apple Support Forum to complain of this battery draining concern. iPhone users are habitual of witnessing the battery power draining issue by the several points overnight, but users are moving ‘excessive' battery drainage after modernizing to iOS 14.6.
An iPhone 12 user complained that their phone's battery went up to only 30 percent even after keeping it on charging overnight and that it “keeps on draining”. The user says that the device's battery health —an indication of its current health compared to the original capacity— is at 96 percent.
Users have recognized that the problem has cropped up after their handsets were updated to iOS 14.6. Apple is still to acknowledge the concern and propose a resolution.
One user on Reddit alleged that the concern may occur related to AirTags are being combined with the Find My Network. “Hundreds of people have stated once they joined an AirTag, their battery life of the handset took a knock. But you too got to apprehend that AirTag location information was also affixed to every iOS device with 14.6,” the user stated.
