Nigeria declared on Friday it had generally rejected Twitter's actions, 2 days after the organization discharged a tweet from President Muhammadu Buhari that warned to punish local secessionists in the West African nation.

'We, the Association of Licensed Telecommunication Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) need to verify that our associates have got formal directions from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to reject all the access to Twitter,' it claimed.

ALTON stated telecoms corporations have complied with NCC's regulations, established on national attention. It told the organization will battle with governments and stakeholders and act as instructed additionally.
