Customers Should Use Net Banking for now Due to Mobile Banking Issue Again: HDFC Bank
HDFC Mobile Banking application is malfunctioning repeatedly and the bank has advised their customers prefer to make use of net banking to perform any of the transactions. The interruption appears to have commenced almost 11:30 am on Tuesday, June 15, and it seems that the concerns are occurring irregularly.
For now, the bank has not provided any announcement about what the purpose of this problem was, only assuming that they are figuring out the issue. Though, debit card transactions and net banking both appear to be running at the time - only the Mobile banking application looks like it has been affected. HDFC's corporate communications administrator tweeted that 'We are experiencing some issues on the Mobile Banking Application. We are looking into this on priority and will update shortly. Customers are requested to please use Net Banking to complete their transaction. Regret the inconvenience caused. Thank you.' The official HDFC Bank News handle also shared the similar tweet
So, for the time being, the reason for this interruption is not justified, but as per the service interruption tracker DownDetector.in, there was a spike in statements of obstacles with HDFC Bank from almost 10:30 am, rising at 11:30 am. Therefore, the concern does not appear to be precisely increased as some members of our company who are clients of HDFC bank were able to easily use their accounts as earlier.
This is a portion of several related conflicts that have attacked India's online banking division; HDFC had related concerns in March also, and a huge interruption in November. ICICI Bank also encountered an identical outage previously, and at an enterprise conclave in March, Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das had to request banks to make your cybersecurity and tech infrastructure strong.
